So i decided to start this blog just to write down thoughts as a poker player and as a person, ive decided that maybe this will help with when im running bad or good to press down my goals and what i strive for.
Ive decided im going to start my training website back up and start charging for coaching, and set myself to a good schedule of grinding waking up at a good hour and playing for 8 hours a day 5 days a week, I feel i am one of the top 50 best sng players in the world i need to be striding to perfection every day. Ive spread sheeted an entire google document that i will use to post my results day to day online for grinding hoping to earn 1500 vpps a day 5 days of the week and play one night of live poker. My roll is kinda damaged after the wsop need to roll it back up to around 10k before i can confidently play higher too so ive been grinding at about an average stake for 35$s.
My wsop sucked again, my day 1 table was extremly good, there was 1 pro at my table and the rest of the players were recreational or fishes i was crusing to 75k at dinner and after dinner i ran ungodly real where i 4 bet a pot limping AhKh flop came k45 and basically got most of my money in the flop only for a turn to bring a Q which went check check and the river bringing a blank 4 the pro value bet 15k and i thought forever about it and decided to call for him to show KQ.... I ended day 1 at about 18k, my day 2 was swingy but i had a pretty good table i doubled up early and was at 40k and cruised the entire day i kept swinging back and forth but eventually decided to rep a big hand and got caught by a set. My goal in day 2 was to get out of the day with around 40 bbs or so i thought i played almost every hand very well ..but oh well it was a good time i just hate vegas and the amount of money everything costs...
Whats even sicker is a dude in my satty group bought in with his own money and got 18th,,, details here on fb...
https://www.facebook.com/ScottMahinPokerStar - all i have to say is congrats its made me kinda sick to be honest, for those of you who don't know scott mahin is a ametuer poker player who is lives and plays around my hometown, he plays at winnivegas casino which is a casino that runs 25$ tournaments that hae no antes and the blinds go up so fast that 3 hours into the tournament the chip leader has 8bbs.
Its kinda sick to think about it but this guy plays one tournament that is completely out of his skill level when i played the satty with him the last couple of times he would fold a6 offsuit on the button with 6 bbs and fold to a 3bb shove in the BB with a4, i just can't believe how people get runs like that but that is why poker is such a great game without fish people wouldn't come and play these tournaments, jerry yang, jaime gold, all fish who completed the impossible, and no offense to scott he is one of the nicest guys ive met i just think for him to proclaim himself a pro on his facebook group is a little much your not a pro until you consistently make a living out of something it makes me sick to think it probably is going to take me 3 years to make what he made in 7 days but thats poker...
